Greg Newsome will not play vs. Vikings

Cleveland Browns rookie cornerback Greg Newsome will not play against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday due to a calf injury.

The Cleveland Browns secondary will be without one of their starting cornerbacks this weekend when they take on the Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has stated that Greg Newsome will not play this week due to a calf injury. With Newsome out it will be Greedy Williams starting in his place.

Greg Newsome is not expected to go on injured reserve which should result in the rookie returning sooner rather than later. Either way the Browns will have a difficult task this weekend when facing a Vikings offense which features the likes of Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen in the passing game. While the defense showed promise in their win over the Bears in Week 3, this is not the first career start for Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota offense is at worst consistent in their ability to move the ball and score points.
