Greedy Williams placed on injured reserve

Cleveland’s secondary will have to wait for more help as they are placing the former second-round pick on IR.

The 2020 debut of Greedy Williams is not in the immediate future as the Cleveland Browns are placing the second year corner on injured reserve.

The bright side is that Williams does not need surgery and a return/debut is still in the cards. Any sort of production or playing time from Greedy should be considered a bonus at this point as this really seems to be a lost season. If the Browns are able to activate Williams this season it would really help a porous pass defense.

Greedy Williams appeared in 12 games as a rookie finishing with 47 tackles (37 solo). Opposing quarterbacks completed 61.3% of their passes and had a 84.9 QB rating when targeting receivers covered by Williams. While these numbers are not great by any means, Williams did not allow a touchdown so there is something positive to point to.
