The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled the defenseman from tthe Cleveland Monsters.

Due to an injury to Dean Kukan, the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled Gavin Bayreuther from the Cleveland Monsters. This will be the first stint for Bayreuther with the Blue Jackets this season.

While Gavin Bayreuther does an impending two game suspension in the AHL, this will not impact his NHL availability per Aaron Portzline.

Gavin Bayreuther has three points (all assists) in five games this season for the Monsters, tied for second with two others on the team. Bayreuther previously appears in nine games for Columbus last season scoring one goal.
