Former Cleveland Baseball Club outfielder Yasiel Puig has signed with the Atlanta Braves.
Yasiel Puig is no longer a free agent. The former Cleveland outfielder has agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Braves. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reported the signing.
Feinsand also noted that Atlanta needed an outfielder due to Nick Markakis opting out of the 2020 season.
Yasiel Puig came to Cleveland in a trade last season that sent Trevor Bauer to Cincinnati. Franmil Reyes and Logan Allen also ended up in Cleveland after the midseason trade.
Puig appeared in 49 games in Cleveland last season slashing .297/,377/.423 with an OPS of .800 with 15 doubles, 1 triple, and 2 home runs.
