The Cleveland Browns have signed the linebacker from their practice squad to their active roster ahead of Sunday’s game in Los Angeles.
It has been quite the week for Elijah Lee. First Lee’s contract was terminated by the team earlier in the week and then he was signed to the practice squad shortly after. Now the Browns have signed Lee to their active roster prior to Sunday’s game against the Chargers.

With the return of Anthony Walker and the questionable status of Malcolm Smith heading into Sunday’s matchup, having an extra linebacker on the active roster makes sense.
Elijah Lee has appeared in all four games for the Browns this season, primarily on special teams as he has proven to be a useful player in that capacity. There have also been a handful of times that Lee has been on the field for defensive snaps, but it is mostly special teams that he is utilized.
