The Manchester United forward could be leaving the club in January pending a suitable offer.
It appears that second Cristiano Ronaldo era in Manchester could be coming to an end. A report states that the club would allow Ronaldo to leave is an acceptable offer is sent their way.
Things have not gone all that well for Cristiano Ronaldo since returning to Manchester. Ronaldo scored just 18 goals and registered three assists in 30 contests for United last season en route to their sixth-place finish in the Premier League. While his advanced age (37) should be accounted for, this is his lowest goal scoring total since 2008-09 when Ronaldo also scored 18 times helping United win the Premier League for the third consecutive season. So far the legendary forward has just six appearances (one start) this season and is yet to score. The fact that Ronaldo did not appear in Sunday’s lopsided loss in the Manchester Derby appears to have set in motion what has been speculated for quite some time.
Nostalgia was fun upon his return, but things have not worked out. It appears to be in the interest of both parties to go their separate ways. Ronaldo can find a starting spot elsewhere while United can continue finishing as an afterthought in the Premier League.
