The Cleveland Monsters have signed the former Ohio State Buckeye to an AHL contract.
Just a few years ago the Columbus Blue Jackets drafted forward Carson Meyer in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft. Now Meyer is signing a deal with the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus’ AHL affiliate.
Carson Meyer spent his first two college seasons at Miami University. During that time he appeared in 66 games scoring 16 goals and assisting on 20 others. Meyer’s final two college seasons were spent at Ohio State and his numbers improved. The Powell native totaled 53 points in 71 games, that breaks down to 26 goals and 27 assists. Meyer led the Big Ten Conference in power play goals with 9 during his senior season.
