The Cleveland Baseball Club made four roster moves Tuesday, including placing Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac on the restricted list.
There were four moves made by the Cleveland Baseball Club Tuesday that were not all that surprising. Placing pitchers Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac on the restricted list was expected. Both pitchers violated team protocols while in Chicago this past weekend.
The team also activated Tyler Naquin and recalled Logan Allen.
The activation of Naquin may help the struggling Cleveland outfield, a group that has been anemic to say the least. Cleveland’s offense as a whole has struggled, but the outfield has contributed the least. The ever-changing hodgepodge has left a lot to be desired and perhaps Naquin can provide stability in that area.
Logan Allen is getting his chance in 2020 due to Cleveland needing pitching after placing the aforementioned Clevinger and Plesac on the restricted list. Allen could be counted on to eat some innings while Cleveland works their way through this current stretch without two starting pitchers.
