Cleveland looks for fifth straight win

The Cleveland Baseball Club looks to win their fifth consecutive game as they take on the Pirates in Pittsburgh Wednesday Night.

Cleveland won the first game of their series with Pittsburgh Pirates Tuesday night and they will look to secure series win Wednesday as they play Game 2. The pitching matchup features Aaron Civale for Cleveland and Steven Brault for Pittsburgh.

Aaron Civale has not faced anyone in the Pirates lineup before, so this will be a new experience for the second-year right hander. Civale did not have the best start against the Tigers on Friday, but still was able to come away with a win. Civale has a 3.60 ERA with a 1.120 WHIP in 25 innings this season.

Steven Brault is not off to the best start in 2020. In 7 innings Brault has allowed 4 runs on 4 hits while walking 4. Brault does have some experience against a few Cleveland hitters. Delino DeShields, Jose Ramirez, Franmil Reyes, and Carlos Santana are a combined 0-8 against Brault and Cesar Hernandez is. 2-10. Luckily there is one player in Cleveland’s lineup has a good track record against the Pirates hurler, Domingo Santana. Domingo Santana is 4-9 with 2 doubles and 2 home runs and has also walked once. Building upon his previous success against Brault could help Cleveland win Game 2 against Pittsburgh.

Game 2 is scheduled to start at 7:05 P.M.
