Chris Hubbard placed on COVID-19/reserve list

The Cleveland Browns have placed the veteran offensive lineman on the COVID-19/reserve list.

Early Friday there were reports that a member of the Cleveland Browns had tested positive for COVID-19. Later in the day the Browns placed offensive lineman Chris Hubbard on the COVID-19/reserve list.

The team performed contact tracing and determined that players who were close contacts of Hubbard have been cleared. Those players included Denzel Ward and Sione Takitaki.

Chris Hubbard had been filling in for the injured Wyatt Teller at right guard and he performed about as well as anyone can expect him to. Hubbard was not exceptional, but not terrible either, a perfect description of his performance would be fine. The Browns expect Teller to be back this week against Houston which will keep this scenario from being an all out nightmare in regards to on the field performance.
