Cavs to move on from Kevin Porter Jr.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be looking to trade or release Porter.

A disappointing end for Kevin Porter Jr. in Cleveland as the Cavaliers will move on from the talented, yet troubled 20-year old. The Cavs are fielding trade offers and if nothing materialized will release him.

The incident that led to this decision? An outburst by Porter in the Cavs locker room after learning that Taurean Prince has been given the locker that was previously his. Porter even threw food during the outburst.

Cavs general manager Koby Altman even tried to calm him down and was not successful.

Kevin Porter Jr. was also involved in a few off court incidents this past offseason including an arrest following a car accident. The Cavs had been guiding him as he worked his way back to the team. The outburst on Friday came the day after participating in practice and the first game he attended in person.

At the end of the day it was not about each incident that led to the team looking to move on, it was all of them put together. Eventually even the most patient franchises will have had enough and look to make a change. Kevin Porter Jr. is a very talented player, but will have to make some big changes if he does not want what is currently happening to be a recurring theme in his career.
