Cavaliers waive Dotson, sign Valentine

The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived guard Damyean Dotson while agreeing to a terms on a two-year deal with guard Denzel Valentine.

The Cleveland Cavaliers made a  couple of roster moves. No, this is not one of them. First the Cavs waived  guard Damyean Dotson.

Dotson appeared in 46 games for the Cavaliers last season, averaging 6.7 points in 19.7 minutes per game.

The second move the Cavs made Friday was signing former Chicago Bull Denzel Valentine to a two-year deal.

Cleveland expressed interest in Valentine about a month ago, so the signing is not necessarily all that surprising. For his career Valentine averages 7.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19.8 minutes per game.
