The Cleveland Cavaliers could look to trade veteran center John Henson before the trade deadline if a contending team comes calling.
The trade deadline is only a few weeks away and the Cleveland Cavaliers look like they will be selling. Brandon Knight is not the only player the could draw interest. John Henson be of interest for teams looking for a big man who are unable to acquire Tristan Thompson.
John Henson has appeared in 18 games for the Cavaliers so far this season. Averaging 4.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game. Henson will get a bump in time on the floor due to the injury of Larry Nance Jr. This will allow to him show that he can be an attractive option for contending teams. Henson is averaging approximately 26 minutes over the last three games. During that time Henson averages seven points and just over six rebounds per game coming off the bench. (Nance did appear in the first game but missed the last two).
If John Henson can continue to perform better than what his averages have been this season he can build some trade value and may land elsewhere. Henson would be a rental for any team that acquires him due to his contract expiring at the end of the season. Cleveland should be able to get something for him. Whether it is valuable or not is a different story.
