Now the bad, the Browns placed Malcolm Smith and Denzel Ward on the reserve/COVID-19 list. https://twitter.com/Browns/status/1344753964995244032?s=20 Due to the timing of both players being placed on the list they will be out for Sunday's game against the Steelers. The Cleveland Browns have activated the safety from injured reserve. The secondary of the Cleveland Browns is welcoming the return of a familiar face as they have activated Ronnie Harrison from injured reserve. Andrew Sendejo will not play in Week 17 while Karl Joseph may be able to play, but his status is up in the air due to landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Browns are going to need all the help they can get against Pittsburgh and in the playoffs if they do make the postseason.

Karl Joseph placed on reserve/COVID-19 list

The Cleveland Browns have placed the safety on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Browns total now stands at nine players on the reserve/COVID-19 list. There is a chance that Karl Joseph and Harrison Bryant could return for their game against the Steelers on Sunday. With the Browns missing so many players in the secondary they really need Joseph to be available. Even with Joseph that group is thin, being without him leaves them with no depth whatsoever.

Browns playoff berth scenarios

There are a variety of ways that the Cleveland Browns can clinch a playoff berth and end the NFL's longest playoff drought. Even with their gut wrenching loss to the New York Jets this past Sunday, the Cleveland Browns still have a shot to make the playoffs. There are eight different scenarios that the Browns can make their first trip to the postseason since 2002. https://twitter.com/ByNateUlrich/status/1343619241266835456?s=20 Of course the simplest path is just win on Sunday, but that is easier said than done. The Browns face the Steelers and what their plan is for Week 17 after clinching the division is not yet known. Pittsburgh struggled for three weeks leading into this game and may want to give their starters a good amount of playing time in order to get ready for the po...

Browns stumble in loss to Jets

The shorthanded Cleveland Browns lost to the New York Jets and their playoff hopes are now in jeopardy. Have you ever seen a boxer get hit hard early in a boxing match and not be able to fully recover? That is what happened to the Cleveland Browns Sunday as they were just unable to overcome poor play calling and botched execution in their 23-16 loss to the New York Jets. First things first. The Browns were without quite a few players which obviously made an impact in the game. Cleveland was without Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, KhaDarel Hodge, and Donovan Peoples-Jones, and that was just the receiving group. The Browns also missed Jedrick Wills Jr. and Wyatt Teller on their offensive line. Defensively they missed Jacob Phillips and B.J. Goodson. For a team with a lot on the line t...

Jedrick Wills Jr. could still play Sunday if he continues to test negative. https://twitter.com/Jake_Trotter/status/1342145046703972353?s=20 Kendall Lamm would play if Jedrick Wills Jr. is unable to go. https://twitter.com/ByNateUlrich/status/1342146262766911494?s=20 Obviously it would be optimal if Wills is able to play, but the Browns could manage with Lamm filling in. After losing Chris Hubbard for the season, the Cleveland Browns have signed Michael Dunn to her active roster. https://twitter.com/MaryKayCabot/status/1341810267462782977?s=20 Hubbard had been filling in for the injured Wyatt Teller, but suffered a season-ending injury in Sunday night's win over the Giants. Nick Harris replaced Hubbard, but Cleveland still needs a bit more depth. The Browns adding Dunn to their active roster gives the team more options and flexibility in case of another injury on their offensive line.
