A return to Cleveland is still possible for Jarvis Landry. The Browns are still “in the mix” for the free agent receiver.
Brad Stainbrook later added that they are “a top team” and that Landry wants to sign somewhere before the draft.
If the Browns could agree to terms on a reunion with Jarvis Landry it would be the cherry on top of their offensive overhaul. Cleveland has already upgraded their quarterback room with the additions of Deshaun Watson and Jacoby Brissett. Amari Cooper was acquired from Dallas for basically nothing. Bringing back Landry in a position to explore every option available to them in the draft rather than being a spot where a wide receiver must be taken early. Flexibility will be crucial as the Browns do not have a first round pick in the next three drafts. Being able to pivot to defense (if necessary) allows the Browns to be able to draft in the best player available mode rather than need, a method that best franchises operate in more often than not.
