The Cleveland Browns made two roster moves Sunday, signing free agent linebacker Malcolm Smith and waiving center Casey Dunn.
Once it was reported that the Cleveland Browns were bringing in Malcolm Smith for a workout it seemed that a signing was inevitable. That is just what happened on Sunday as the team signed Smith and waived currently injured center Casey Dunn. Cleveland signed Dunn earlier this week.
At worst Malcolm Smith is a veteran presence who can help a group of linebackers in desperate need of help. At best Smith might be able to contribute at some level and bring the performance from this group to an adequate level.
Smith was part of the Seattle Seahawks for four seasons, winning a Super Bowl and being named Super Bowl 48 MVP.
