Browns release new uniforms

The Cleveland Browns finally revealed their new uniforms, going back to basics while embracing a simple and classic look.

Finally! The Cleveland Browns revealed their new uniforms and they look like the Browns again.

The carbon fiber stripe on the helmet is now gone. “Cleveland” appearing across the chest? Gone. Those in charge of putting together these uniforms realized the mistakes that resulted in the over-designed disaster that the team has worn the past few seasons and have rectified them. The new Browns uniforms needed to have that classic look and they certainly do.

Now, let’s break down the combinations.

All-White

Simple, clean, classic. Not much more needs to be said.

Brown jersey-White pants

This is what the Cleveland Browns are supposed to look like. Brown jersey and white pants.

White jersey-Brown pants

This is my least favorite of the standard uniform combinations. Dark pants and a white jersey are just not appealing to me. If there is going to be a combination of white jersey and non-white pants it should not be a dark color. A lighter color here (orange) would compliment the overall look instead of contrasting so much.

All Brown/Color Rush/Vapor

Color Rush is no longer a thing even though teams still wear those uniform combinations. The now “Vapor’ uniforms are extremely similar to what the Color Rush look used to be. One noticeable difference is the absence of stripes which makes them look an orange and brown Raiders knockoff.

I am someone who believes that combinations like Color Rush/Vapor had their time and place and it has now passed. This uniform combination does absolutely nothing for me and prefer that it does not make regular appearances.
