Browns place six more on reserve/COVID-19 list

The Cleveland Browns have placed six more players on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

After the Cleveland Browns had to place eight players on the reserve/COVID-19 list, six more have been placed on the list. As reported earlier, Baker Mayfield tested positive and now the rest of the players have been revealed. John Johnson II, Malik McDowell, Troy Hill, Ifeadi Odenigbo, and practice squad player Nate Meadors.

This is in addition to head coach Kevin Stefanski also testing positive. With the new round of positive tests the Browns have 11 starters who are on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

There is still a chance for vaccinated players to play Saturday, but two negative tests 24 hours apart will be required by 4 P.M. Friday. Considering the timing of these tests they are long shots to play Saturday and that could prove problematic. At some point when enough players are unable to play, the gap in talent closes and makes what should have been a winnable game one where they could very well lose.
