The Big Ten Conference has decided to cancel all fall sports with hopes of attempting to play football in the spring.
There are some things that are inevitable and this certainly counts as one of them. The Big Ten Conference officially announced that all fall sports have been canceled.
As noted by Dan Wetzel the conference may attempt a spring season. Although, that does pose some problems. Ari Wasserman of The Athletic made some good points about the difficulty of staging a spring season.
The first and third questions have similar answers. It is highly doubtful things improve in regards to COVID-19. There is also no way that the college athletes can safely play two seasons in such a short amount of time, but that is a different discussion for a different time.
The second question has a bit of a different answer. The NFL can push the draft back to June 2 if necessary, but it is unclear at this time if this is something under consideration.
Shortly after The Big Ten Conference made their announcement The PAC-12 Conference followed suit.
It is only a matter of time before the rest of the conferences cancel or postpone their seasons.
