Baker Mayfield sparked quite the interesting Twitter interaction between Cleveland Native Michael Symon and noted Cleveland hater Michael Rapaport.
Unfortunately Cleveland has to deal with Michael Rapoport yet again. After Baker Mayfield made headlines with a quote that is now known to be inaccurate, the noted Cleveland antagonist is back. Rapaport decided to not only fire back at the Browns quarterback, but attack the Cleveland food scene as well. Cleveland’s own Michael Symon was not having it and got himself involved.
Symon is right here, Rapaort is not a food critic. Especially after his false claims that Mayfield should worry about Salmonella poisoning. Symon also correctly points out that what Baker Mayfield said and what was reported are not the same. That did not stop from Rapaport from replying to Symon and Symon roasting him afterward.
Michael Rapaport confuses palate with pallet, which is hilarious. One is a sense of taste and the other is what products are placed on at Costco. In addition to Symon pointing out the error, someone else chimed in.
While this error is hilarious, it certainly does not help Rapaport’s false claims about food in Cleveland. If anyone has actually visited a restaurant in Cleveland they will find great food. East Fourth Street downtown has an excellent collection of places to eat, including two from Michael Symon.
As long as Baker Mayfield will continue to be Baker Mayfield Cleveland will have to deal with people like Michael Rapaport. Mayfield will speak his mind and people will take it the wrong way and twist it into something that it is not. While people like Rapaport can be a thorn in the side of any fan base, that is just part of the trade off of having a good quarterback and an exciting football team.
