Austin Seibert claimed by Bengals

Kicker Austin Seibert has been claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals after being waived by the Cleveland Browns following Sunday’s loss.

There is still a chance that Austin Seibert will still be kicking in Cleveland on Thursday night, it just won’t be for the Browns. Seibert was claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals Tuesday one day after being waived by Cleveland.

Cincinnati may be without kicker Randy Bullock after suffering an injury in their loss to the Chargers. If Bullock cannot go, Seibert would make his return to Cleveland the same week after being waived.

Austin Seibert missed both kicks during Sunday’s loss (1 FG, 1 XP). This lead to Cleveland decide for a second round of Cody Parkey was in order. The puzzling aspect of this is if that Seibert’s leash was this short to begin with and one game could end his time with the team, why was he on the team to begin with? Obviously the team did not trust him and were playing him until they could play him no more. Overall this is just horrendous roster management from the Browns.
