The Cleveland Baseball Club has traded the veteran pitcher to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash considerations.
Adam Plutko is moving on. The Cleveland Baseball Club traded the 29-year old pitcher to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations.
In four seasons, Adam Plutko appeared in 50 games (36 starts) and pitched a total of 217.1 innings. During that span Plutko finished with a record of 13-12, an ERA of 5.05, 1.316 WHIP, and a K/9 of 6.5. Plutko was a pitcher that would be ready when called upon and was someone Cleveland felt comfortable with, even if the performance was not up to the level of others on the roster.
Cleveland’s decision to have Triston McKenzie, Cal Quantrill, and Logan Allen on the Opening Day roster essentially closed the door on Plutko’s time in Cleveland.
