The Cleveland Baseball Club is turning to the 25-year starter for their matchup with the Chicago White Sox.
Funny sometimes how things seem to repeat themselves. It was just last week that the Cleveland Baseball Club was no-hit by the Chicago White Sox and they turned to Aaron Civale in search of a victory. Well, Cleveland lost Tuesday to Chicago again and are looking at Aaron Civale for a win.
In his last start against Chicago, Aaron Civale allowed only 1 run on 5 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in 6 innings en route to a 4-2 win over Chicago. The only run allowed by Civale was on a Yoan Moncada single which allowed Tim Anderson to score. Cleveland and Civale will be hoping for a similar performance as they look to get back over .500 on the year.
Aaron Civale is 3-0 on the year with a 2.18 ERA, 0.726 WHIP, and 7 K/9. Civale’s performance so far is extremely similar to his 2019 campaign where he burst on the scene rather than 2020’s abbreviated campaign. It appears that a normal schedule and ramp up have allowed Civale to find that form which made him incredibly effective as a rookie.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 P.M. at Progressive Field
