David Njoku not ruling himself out for Monday

The Cleveland Browns tight end is not ruling himself out for Monday night’s game.

This may be a case of false hope, but David Njoku may play Monday night. It was initially reported that Njoku would miss 2-5 weeks with a high ankle sprain, but being considered mild and feeling better has resulted in the tight end possibly being available against the Bengals.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski was asked about David Njoku, stating that he stands by his day-to-day statement.

Should David Njoku somehow be able to play it may be in a limited capacity. Seeing a strict snap limit or package of plays near the goal line could be a way to involve Njoku without putting too much stress on a sprained ankle. Only time will tell if Njoku actually plays, but having an extra day may help him see the field.
