The Cleveland Browns have brought back former tight end Pharaoh Brown after his release from the Houston Texans.
The Cleveland Browns have added some depth to their roster by bringing back former tight end Pharaoh Brown. Brown was released by the Houston Texans Tuesday.
Cleveland is currently down a tight end due to Jesse James landing on injured reserve. Considering Miller Forristall is someone who travels between practice squad and active roster, adding another tight end to the mix is a no-brainer. Even if Brown does not even play this week or appear in a Browns uniform it is good to have depth in case of emergency. Cleveland found out the hard way this past week on the defensive side of the ball and would not want to find themselves in a similar position offensively against the Chargers on Sunday.
Pharaoh Brown appeared in three games for Houston this season, catching seven of 10 targets for 72 yards and three first downs. Brown last played for Cleveland in 2019, finishing with two receptions for 27 yards in nine games.
