The Cleveland Browns have re-signed two of their own free agents to one-year deals, retaining both Anthony Walker and Chris Hubbard.
2021 was Walker’s first with the Browns, leading the team in tackles with 113 in 13 games. Cleveland signing Walker to another one-year deal gives the team a little bit of consistency from year-to-year while allowing flexibility to make additions elsewhere.
Hubbard’s stay in Cleveland by another year, appearing in just one game last season due to injury. This will be the fifth season with the Browns for the veteran tackle and it could be as an important line player early on. Jack Conklin is recovering from a torn patellar tendon and his return date is uncertain. If Hubbard has to step in and start early, it will give Cleveland a quality option after having to shuffle their line repeatedly last season.
