Quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum are not available Monday so the Cleveland Browns will turn to Nick Mullens.
Due to Saturday’s postponement, there was an outside chance that their would be some stability at the quarterback position for the Cleveland Browns. Instead, Cleveland will be without their top two quarterbacks on their depth chart Monday when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders. Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum remain in COVID protocols which means Nick Mullens will be starting for Cleveland.
#Browns QBs Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum didn’t test out of COVID protocols, so it’ll be Nick Mullens starting today against the #Raiders, per sources.

Nick Mullens was added to the roster after both Mayfield and Keenum tested positive last week. Mullens started eight games for San Francisco last season with 12 touchdowns and 12 interactions. With the season potentially on the line, the Browns should lean heavily on the run. Leaving the fate of the game and possibly the season in the hands of Mullens is far from an ideal plan.
