After three appearances with the Blue Jackets, Columbus has assigned the goaltender to the Cleveland Monsters.
A familiar face is returning to the Cleveland Monsters. The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned goaltender Daniil Tarasov to their AHL affiliate.
#CBJ activate G Joonas Korpisalo (illness) from injured reserve, demote Daniil Tarasov to @monstershockey.
Tarasov, 22, went 0-2-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .936 SV% in three appearances, including two starts, with the Blue Jackets after being recalled on December 2.

Daniil Tarasov actually put together a better stat-line while in Columbus compared to Cleveland. Tarasov’s save percentage in Cleveland this season is 0.897 compared to 0.936 in Columbus. With a GAA of 2.22 with the Blue Jackets and 2.96 with the Monsters. Granted the sample size is much different with just 135 minutes in the NHL and 548 in the AHL, it is still impressive to see Tarasov perform when getting the call.
