Browns place Walker, Gillan on COVID-19 list

The Cleveland Browns have placed the linebacker and punter on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Two key players have been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the Cleveland Browns, Anthony Walker and Jamie Gillan. The team already placed tight end David Njoku on the list earlier this week.

Considering the timing of the players being put on the list it is very likely that they miss the matchup with the Ravens this weekend. The Browns being without both players would be a huge blow to a team that cannot afford to be down any players against a superior Ravens team, much less integral players to their defense and special teams units. Walker leads the team in the tackles while Gillan, in addition to his punting duties, is the holder on field goal attempts. In the Week 12 loss to the Ravens Walker finished with 12 tackles, third on the Browns behind Ronnie Harrison and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah while Gillan punted six times, the second-most in a game this season.
