Anthony Walker placed on injured reserve

The Cleveland Browns linebacker has been placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

The defense of the Cleveland Browns took a hit as Anthony Walker has been placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury.

Walker was dealing with injuries during preseason, making this outcome a little less surprising.

Anthony Walker was one of a few free agent signings brought in to be instant starters. Walker led the Browns in tackles during the loss to the Chiefs in Week 1 with nine total (eight solo).

Additionally, another factor with Walker’s absence besides having a capable veteran linebacker in the starting lineup is that someone else will now have to make the defensive play calls. Walker had the green dot on his helmet as the only player with headset, now somebody else will have to take on this responsibility which could lead to some issues defensively.
