Cavaliers fall to Bucks 127-105

The Cleveland Cavaliers were not able to come away with a win against Giannis Antetokoumpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, losing 127-105.

The Cleveland Cavaliers came into Sunday’s game as a clear underdog against the Milwaukee Bucks and that proved to be right. Cleveland was outscored in every quarter but one. Even when they were not outscored they scored the same amount of points as Milwaukee. The Bucks were clearly too much for the Cavaliers.

Cleveland trailed 32-27 after the first quarter and things did not get much better from there. A 36 point second quarter extended Milwaukee’s lead as Cleveland put 28 on the scoreboard. As mentioned above the Cavaliers and Bucks both scored 22 points in the third quarter. The fourth quarter saw Milwaukee put the game away as they scored 37 points compared to Cleveland’s 28.

Kevin Love nearly had the Cavaliers first 20-20 game since Anderson Varejao in 2012. Love finished with 20 points and 19 rebounds on 8-21 shooting from the field.

Jordan Clarkson continued his impressive run off the bench and improved upon his team record points off the bench. Clarkson chipped in 19 points on 7-15 shooting. Clarkson rounded out his performance with four assists and three rebounds.

Collin Sexton had a rough day shooting the ball, but managed to score 18 points in 37 minutes. Sexton finished 6-15, 1-6 from three point range and 5-6 from the free throw line. Sexton also had five rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Larry Nance Jr. added 13 points of his own, six of which came from deep. Nance went 2-6 from three-point range and 5-9 overall. Nance’s final line included six assists, three rebounds and three steals.

Cleveland still owns the third-worst record in the league at 19-55. The Cavaliers return home to take on the Boston Celtics Tuesday at 7:00 P.M.
