Cavaliers embarrassed by Jazz in 114-75 loss

The Cleveland Cavaliers were completely outclassed by the Utah Jazz.

There is nothing positive that can be said about the Cleveland Cavaliers 39-points loss to the Utah Jazz Monday. The Jazz were head and shoulders the better team from start to finish and absolutely destroyed the Cavs.

The Cavaliers were without Kevin Love, Larry Nance Jr., Jarrett Allen, and Matthew Dellavedova. Even with those players this would have been a lopsided loss for Cleveland. This Cavs team simply is not good and is not able to compete with a team like the Jazz.

Cleveland failed to break the 20-point barrier in three of the four quarters, a completely unacceptable outcome. Even some of the worst teams in recent memory are capable of breaking 20 points in multiple quarters, but not this team. With only scoring 74 points one would think that the three-point line did not exist for the Cavaliers, but only for the Jazz. Utah drained 19 shots from deep on 41 attempts while Cleveland went 7-34.

Only two Cavaliers scored in double-digits, Collin Sexton and Darius Garland. Sexton scored 20 on a 8-18 shooting effort and Garland finished with 18 on 8 of 16. No other Cav scored more than 7 points and only one accomplished that.

The Cavs finished this brutal road trip with a 1-3 record, their only win a 103-94 win over Chicago. After that it was three straight losses for Cleveland with the team heading in a clear downward trajectory. The Cavaliers get two days off before returning to action Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
