The Cleveland Monsters have signed the 25-year old Westerville native to a player tryout contract.
It is almost time for the 2021 AHL season to begin and the Cleveland Monsters have made an addition to their roster. The team has announced that they have signed Connor McDonald to a player tryout contract or PTO.
The 25-year old defenseman has appeared in eight games for the Indy Fuel of the ECHL this season, totaling 1 point on an assist. This was the second season with Indy for McDonald as he appeared in 11 games the previous season scoring 1 goal and assisting on 3 others in that time.
Connor McDonald played college hockey at Bowling Green State University for four seasons before signing in the ECHL. McDonald appeared in 161 games with the Falcons and was a net positive as far as plus/minus goes. There was only one season that McDonald’s plus/minus was not 12 or higher, registering a -1 in 2016-17 over 38 games.
