The Cleveland Cavliers have signed the 23-year old free agent to a training camp deal.
Thon Maker has signed a training camp deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers according to Michael Scotto.
This will be the third team in three seasons for Thon Maker. Maker was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in with 10th overall pick in 2016 and has averaged 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game over his four year career.
If the Cavs decide to keep Thon Maker when the season starts he should fill a bench role of some type. Cleveland already has four big men who should see significantly more time than Maker. Kevin Love, Andre Drummond, Larry Nance Jr., and even JaVale McGee should be given the nod before Maker. That could change if the Cavaliers decide to make some trades, clearing some playing time for Maker and others.
