Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski provided updates in regards to the potential returns of three key players.
The Cleveland Browns offense desperately needs the returns of Austin Hooper, Wyatt Teller, and Nick Chubb. In addition to providing an update about the status of Myles Garrett, Kevin Stefanski provided some information in regards to the status of the three aforementioned players. Stefanski stated that Hooper will return after the bye week, adding that Chubb and Teller are both progressing.
This is all good news. If there is one thing that everyone learned from Sunday’s loss is that they really need these three players on offense. The rushing attack has not been the same without both Chubb and Teller. Hunt has been fine, but he is not nearly the player that Chubb is. In regards to Teller, Chris Hubbard is holding down the fort adequately. As far as Hooper is concerned, his return would relegate David Njoku back to the bench role that he belongs in. The Browns already have an excellent tight end in Harrison Bryant who may already be better than Hooper, they just need to have both on the field at the same time.
When the Browns have these players back the offense should be able to be more balanced and produce more consistently. If they are missing two or more, it may continue to be a struggle.
