The Cleveland Baseball Club closer has been nominated as a finalist for the American League Reliever of the Year.
The Cleveland Baseball Club already has two members of their team who could come away with awards and now there is a third. Brad Hand could win the American League Reliever of the Year.
Hand appeared in 23 games for Cleveland this season. During those appearances he finished 21 games which led the American League and his 16 saves led all of baseball. Hand’s 2.05 ERA was a career best as was his 0.773 WHIP.
Brad Hand does have some competition for the award in Liam Hendriks and Alex Colome. Hendriks and Colome have Hand beat in the ERA department, 1.78 and 0.81 respectively. Hendriks’ WHIP was also better (0.671) and Colome had a sub-1.000 WHIP as well (0.941).
Whether it is Brad Hand, Liam Hendriks, or Alex Colome, the winner of the AL Reliever of the Year Award definitely deserved it.
