Donovan Peoples-Jones is Browns returner

Cleveland Browns special teams coordinator Mike Priefer stated that Donovan Peoples-Jones is currently their kick and punt returner.

Thursday provided a bit of an update in regards to the kick and punt returner of the Cleveland Browns. Special teams coordinator Mike Priefer stated that right now that person is Donovan Peoples-Jones.

There was one play in particular where it appeared that Donovan Peoples-Jones made an epic blunder. Luckily for Peoples-Jones and the Browns as the kickoff rolled into the end zone. Cleveland was already reeling and that could have been a further momentum shift for Dallas. The Browns were able to hold on and win, but that misplay could have propelled the Cowboys to victory if the ball was hit with just a tad less power.

Priefer also mentioned that Ryan Switzer is in the mix in addition to Dontrell Hilliard and D’Ernest Johnson. Cleveland signed Switzer to their practice squad last week to give the team another option to consider. Out of the secondary options Switzer seems to be the best option considering the experience of all named here. Hilliard may have ranked/been rated high as a returner last season but that really says a lot about how bad everyone else was and not how good he was.
