Cleveland Browns third-year cornerback Denzel Ward will be limited in practice on Thursday per head coach Kevin Stefanski.
This will be something to monitor as Sunday comes closer but Denzel Ward will be limited in practice on Thursday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media that Ward will attempt to practice on Thursday.
If Denzel Ward is not close to 100% on Sunday that could be a big problem for the Browns defense. Don’t be fooled by the performance last Sunday against Washington, Dallas is a much better team offensively and will be better suited to challenge the Browns defense. The Cowboys lead the league in yards per game (490.7), this is boosted by the league leading 1,150 passing yards through three weeks.
Dak Prescott has a wide variety of options to throw to in the passing game and even a full strength Browns secondary would have problems containing them. Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup could have big days against a banged up Cleveland secondary, and that is before even mentioning Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott is effective in both the running and passing game and is a game changer for the Cowboys offense.
If the Cleveland Browns are going to have a chance Sunday they need something that resembles a healthy Denzel Ward. If he is not healthy or can only play a certain number of snaps that could result in big problems for Cleveland.
