Cleveland Baseball Club pitcher Shane Bieber finished the season with most wins, lowest ERA and most strikeouts in all of baseball.
Future American League Cy Young Award winner Shane Bieber finished the 2020 season winning the MLB Triple Crown. That’s right, not just American League Triple Crown, MLB Triple Crown. Bieber had the most wins (8), lowest ERA (1.63), and the most strikeouts (122) in all of baseball. Bieber is the first pitcher to complete the feat since Johann Santana did it with the Twins in 2006.
According to Sarah Langs, Shane Bieber is the first Cleveland pitcher to win the Triple Crown since Bob Feller. The only difference being that Feller’s was American League only, while Bieber leads MLB.
Bieber will look to carry his outstanding performance this season into the postseason as the Cleveland Baseball Club will play host to the New York Yankees starting Tuesday.
