Cesar Hernandez placed on paternity list

The Cleveland Baseball Club have placed second baseman Cesar Hernandez on the paternity list and recalled infielder Yu Chang.

The Cleveland Baseball Club made a roster move on Tuesday afternoon, placing Cesar Hernandez on the paternity list and recalling Yu Chang. Mike Freeman has taken the place of Hernandez in the lineup Tuesday night.

Cesar Herndanez is slashing .266/.337/.383/.720 in 46 games this season with 16 doubles and 2 home runs. Hernandez has a slightly lower WRC+ this season (95) than his career average (98).

Yu Chang appeared in 8 games this season, slashing .222/.364/.222/.586.

Hernandez’ temporary replacement Mike Freeman is slashing .267/.324/.367/.690 with a WRC+ of 84 in 19 games this season.
