Former Cleveland Browns KhaDarel Hodge and Colby Gossett have new homes as they were claimed by Detroit and Atlanta.

After making some final cuts to get down to 53, two potential players the Cleveland Browns could have brought back have found new homes. KhaDarel Hodge was claimed by the Lions while Colby Gossett is headed to the Falcons.

There was some hope that Hodge specifically could have made it the practice squad, but it was not meant to be meaning Cleveland had to adjust their strategy when putting together their initial practice squad. As far as Gossett is concerned, there was little chance that the Browns could have brought him back considering the already existing depth on the offensive line and the strategy the team took with their practice squad players.

After making their final cuts and announcing their 53-man roster, the Cleveland Browns put the finishing touches on their practice squad.

The Cleveland Browns made some surprising and not so surprising moves in their final cuts, but they have managed to finalize their first version of their practice squad for the upcoming season.

The Browns pretty much exclusively brought back players they cut while putting together their 53-man roster. There was only one non-former Browns played added to the practice squad in Nick Mullens.

A few names would could very well end up on the active roster on this season include Porter Gustin, Sheldon Day, Jordan Franks, and Elijah Lee.

The Cleveland Baseball Club came away with a 5-3 extra-innings win on the road against the Kansas City Royals.

It doesn’t matter that it took extra-innings, but Wednesday’s 5-3 win over the Kansas City Royals can still be marked as a win for the Cleveland Baseball Club.

After finding themselves trailing 3-0 after 4 innings, Cleveland got to work offensively. It took an error for Cleveland to score their first runs of the game. Bradley Zimmer and Harold Ramirez came across to score while Michael A. Taylor committed a fielding error in the outfield.

Yu Chang came up in the 7th and delivered with a solo home run, his seventh of the season.

The game would stay tied until extras and that is when Cleveland managed to take the lead for the first time in the game. Austin Hedges would drive in Daniel Johnson in the 11th, giving Cleveland a 4-3 lead. Chang would follow with a double that allowed Bobby Bradley to score the fifth run of the game. Trevor Stephan would come on in the bottom of the inning to come away with his first save of the season. Stephan struck out two of the three batters he faced to close the game.

Cleveland can come away with a sweep with a win on Thursday as the third and final game of the series will take place at 8:10 P.M.
