Indians ready to finish out home stand against Royals

The Cleveland Indians are ready to finish out their 10 game home stand with a three game series against the Kansas City Royals. The Indians rebounded quite nicely after a less than stellar start to the second half. A four game sweep of the Detroit Tigers has Cleveland only four games back of the division leading Minnesota Twins. A series with yet another division rival in the Kansas City Royals. The last time the Indians and Royals met was before the All-Star break. Cleveland swept Kansas City in three games on the road and outscored the Royals 21-9. The Tribe won two out of three games against Kansas City the last time they. came to Cleveland. This of course was highlighted by the blown save by closer Brad Hand. Indians complete sweep of Tigers

Trevor Bauer took the mound and kept the Tigers offense in check as the Indians finished off the four game sweep of Detroit. The Cleveland Indians completed their four game sweep of the Detroit Tigers with a 6-3 win on Thursday. Trevor Bauer allowed three runs in 6.2 innings on five hits while walking two and striking out 10. Things got a bit dicey in the seventh as Bauer was not able to finish off the inning. With two men on and two out Oliver Perez came on and got Victor Reyes to fly out to center. This ended Detroit's attempt to tie the game or even take the lead. Adam Cimber came on in the eighth after Perez allowed one hit and worked two thirds of inning. Brad Hand came on for the save with two outs in the eighth.
