Zach Plesac apologizes for leaving hotel in Chicago

Cleveland Baseball Club Zach Plesac has apologized for leaving the team hotel in Chicago and violating COVID-19 protocols.

Zach Plesac has issued an apology for his actions which took place Saturday night. Plesac left the team hotel to go out with friends, a violation of the safety protocols put in place due to COVID-19.

The apology from Plesac appeared in a post from MLB.com’s Mandy Bell.

“I would like to apologize to my teammates, the entire Cleveland organization and all of our fans for my actions Saturday evening. I realize I made a poor choice to leave the hotel, which broke protocols and could have endangered other people. I understand that in these times of uncertainty, I need to be more vigilant and responsible and I am determined to earn my teammates’ forgiveness and get back to work.”

While it is great that Zach Plesac is apologizing for his actions, he did say something a month ago which doesn’t make him look great.

The Cleveland pitcher literally said that going out is not important when they are able to play this season. Zach Plesac literally went out with his friends on the second stop of Cleveland’s first road trip. When looking at the situation in Miami and what is currently happening with St. Louis, this is behavior that cannot happen if the season is actually going to finish. During his time away form the team Plesac needs to realize this in order to not make the same mistake twice when he returns to the team.
