Guardians rebound with sweep of Oakland

Off back-to-back sweeps at the hands of the Yankees and Angels, the Cleveland Guardians needed to turn things around and that they did. Cleveland came to Oakland and was able to continue their early season trend of trading sweeps with their opponents. The Guardians came away with three wins in Oakland, each less dramatic than the one that preceded it. Game 1 featured clutch at-bats from both teams as the lead changed hands multiple times. Powering the Guardians was Jose Ramirez, Andres Gimenez, and Josh Naylor in their homer based attack. The second game of the series featured less run scoring, but some high drama late. The Cleveland Baseball Club got homers from both Bradley Zimmer and Daniel Johnson in their 4-2 win over the Oakland Athletics. After bouncing back and defeating the Oakland Athletics Saturday, the Cleveland Baseball Club had the chance to win the series on Sunday and they took advantage of it. Cleveland bounces back, wins 3-2 in Oakland

The Cleveland Baseball Club bounced back from Friday’s loss to the Oakland Athletics. After losing a heartbreaker Friday night, the Cleveland Baseball Club was able to rebound and come away with a 3-2 win Saturday afternoon. After trailing by a run early, it was Cesar Hernandez and Amed Rosario who came through in the 5th. It was a RBI double from Hernandez that tied the game and a sacrifice fly from Rosario to give Cleveland a 2-1 lead.
