Cleveland trades one, options four players Friday

The Cleveland Baseball Club has traded one player while optioning four others Friday. Some decisions are being made by the Cleveland Baseball Club in regards to who will be on their roster moving forward. The team already has decided to part ways with Billy Hamilton and made some moves Friday. Indians manage only 4 hits in loss to Padres

It was not a great outing for the offense of the Cleveland Indians in their 8-0 loss to the San Diego Padres in Peoria, Arizona. Four hits, four measly hits. That is all the Cleveland Indians were able to muster in their 8-0 loss to the San Diego Padres Wednesday. Hitters of note Two of the Indians three hits came off the bat of Oscar Mercado. Mercado went 2-3 on the day and had an impressive day at the plate. Franmil Reyes was the only other Cleveland starter with a hit. Reyes slugged a double off of San Diego's Chris Paddack. Unfortunately his teammates were not able to drive him in. The only other Tribe hitter to collect a hit was Bobby Bradley. MLB Pipeline has released their Top 100 prospect list. The Cleveland Indians have two players from their system named as a Top 100 prospect  Before we get into who is on the list, there is one Indians prospect who was 79th on the list prior to last season and is now out of the Top 100. Triston McKenzie. McKenzie was once a heralded prospect, but the fact he missed all of 2019 due to injury has him dropping off the list entirely. More often than not, Nolan Jones is the first name mentioned when it comes to Cleveland Indians prospects. Jones has been at, or near the top of the prospects list for the Tribe for some time now.
