Nathan Gerbe assigned to Monsters
The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned the 33-year old forward to their AHL affiliate.
Nathan Gerbe is returning to Cleveland. This comes after the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Liam Foudy to the taxi squad resulting in Gerbe returning to the Monsters. The veteran forward only made one appearance for the Blue Jackets this season.
Nathan Gerbe has spent the bulk of his time the past few seasons in Cleveland with the Monsters. Prior to last season Gerbe only made 2 appearances with Columbus during the 2017-18 season. Gerbe has been somewhat of a mainstay in Cleveland for the last three seasons, appearing in 95 games for the Monsters with 75 points (22 goals, 53 assists). Due to a rash of injuries in Columbus, Gerbe got the call up and appeared in 30 games for the Blue Jackets finishing with 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists).
