Monsters aim to snap three-game losing streak

The Clevleand Monsters play host to Laval Rocket at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse as they look to snap a three-game losing streak.

The last time the Cleveland Monsters took to the ice they were run out of their own barn by the Belleville Senators. Belleville had their way with Cleveland, handing them two losses in consecutive games. Cleveland will look to change their fortunes as they host Laval Rocket Thursday and Friday.

Laval Rocket are 4-5-0-1 in their past 10 games. Like Cleveland, Laval is towards the bottom of the AHL North Division with 62 points (Cleveland has 54 points). Laval has scored 170 goals this season while giving up 179, only a slight difference. This is significantly better than the Monsters goal differential of -24.

Laval’s leading point scorer is Jake Evans with 38 in 51 games played. Evans also leads the team in assists with 24. Charles Hudon leads the team in goals with 27 in 46 games.

Cayden Primeau has appeared in the most games in goal for Laval (31). Primeau has a .905 save-percentage and a GAA of 2.55. Charlie Lindgren and Keith Kinkaid have also appeared in 13 or more games this season, with save-percentages of .893 and .876 and GAA’s of 2.67 and 3.44 respectively.

Game 1 is Thursday at 7:00 P.M. and Game 2 is Friday at 7:00 P.M.
