Cleveland hires DeMarlo Hale as bench coach
The Cleveland Baseball Club has found a replacement bench coach for manager Terry Francona. There was a vacancy created by Brad Mills not returning to the role for 2021 and Tito turned to yet another familiar face, DeMarlo Hale. Hale was with Francona in his previous managerial position in Boston and his previous stop in Texas.
DeMarlo Hale spent time with the Baltimore Orioles in 2012, Toronto Blue Jays from 2013-18, and the Atlanta Braves last season. Hale was a replacement for Eric Young who decided not to travel with the team.
