According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff pushed for the signing of Ed Davis. The addition of Davis to their roster gives the team a much needed veteran presence on the roster.
Ed Davis appeared in 23 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, averaging 2.1 points and 5 rebounds in 13 minutes per game.
