Cleveland Baseball Club’s Gold Glove finalists

The 2020 Gold Glove finalists have been announced and the Cleveland Baseball Club has three finalists on their roster.

Baseball awards season is approaching and the Cleveland Baseball Club has. three potential Gold Glove winners on their roster. Second baseman Cesar Hernandez, catcher Roberto Perez, and pitcher Zach Plesac have all been nominated.

The only player nominated for Cleveland who has won a Gold Glove is Perez, having won the award last season. Herandnez could become the first second baseman since Roberto Alomar in 2001 to win a Gold Glove There has not been a pitcher to win a Gold Glove, if Plesac were to win he would become the first.

Perez’ has a chance to repeat and will have to compete with White Sox catchers Yasmani Grandal and James McCann. There is another Chicago player up for a Gold Glove, second baseman Danny Mendick. Mendick along with Detroit’s Jonathan Schoop will be the competition for Hernandez at second base. Plesac will have to beat out Griffin Canning of the Angels and Kenta Maeda of the Twins if franchise history is going to be made.

The Gold Glove winners will be revealed Tuesday, November 3rd at 7 P.M.
